It has been exactly a year since we followed God's leading and took a huge step of faith for our family. Memorial Day was the last day that Lucas was employed by Otis Elevator before leaving to start his own company. This time last year, our house in Memphis was for sale and I was living with my parents in Tennessee. Lucas was on his way to NYC to spend the summer working.
In reflection, can I just say "wow, our God is good!". It still amazes me to see how perfectly all the details have worked out up to this point. Our lives have changed dramatically in a year and we have been stretched in ways that we never have been before. We both would tell you that we are absolutely where God wants us to be at this point in our lives and we couldn't be more thankful or excited about the future.
As of now, Summit Elevator has 11 maintenance contracts in Atlanta and is also still doing several things in NYC. Also within the next couple of weeks, Lucas will be moving out of his home office into a "real" office. This office is just another example of God working things out.
So let me just say, because I know we don't voice it enough: God is meeting all of our needs and nothing Lucas has done is possible without His favor. We are looking forward to an even greater year next year as we continue to give God all the glory for the Great things He is doing!
Happy Memorial Day!
