Wow! A Big 2 Year Old!

Today, we celebrated Layla's 2nd birthday!  These have definitely been the fastest 2 years of my life and I am sure that I will say that every year from here on out!  I try not be to too nostalgic on Layla's birthdays about how she is not a baby anymore.  This year was a lot less emotional for me because 2 is such a great age and I can see all the fun in having an "older" kid!  I am so thankful to celebrate each day of Layla's life.  You can not adequately describe the love of a parent until you are one.  Layla makes being a parent so easy and one of the biggest joys of my life.

Thank you Jesus for giving us our precious daughter.  You have definitely poured into our lap a good measure- pressed down, shaken together, and our cup absolutely runneth over!

I have to say about this tricycle...Lucas and I have not bought her a single gift for any occasion up to this point.  So this is really her first "gift" from us:)
